After you’re done installing interior wood siding, you will need some trim to cover the edges where the walls meet and at the ceiling and wall boundaries. Our unfinished solid wood (no finger joints!) 1x4 S4S (surfaced/smooth on all 4 sides) Southern Yellow Pine trim is a cost-effective, classic, and beautiful choice. 

APG Grade is similar to knotty #2 prime grade, with 4 solid corners/edges and an emphasis on being more free of surface level defects. It is primarily graded for aesthetics as opposed to structural strength.  It is often used in applications where the visual appeal of the wood is important, such as paneling or decorative finishes, and of course trim.

The appearance grade (APG) Southern Yellow Pine S4S trim features some tight knots (no holes through the boards) for rustic character, and has clean, sharp edges with essentially no wane (areas where the board disappears where the bark was).

The kiln-dried southern yellow pine takes a finish very well, and can be clear-coated with polyurethane to maintain its natural bright yellow luster, whitewashed, and receives a variety of stains and finishes very well.
